Description
Fazzoletto Opalino is one of the most important pieces of Venini collection; an iconic vase whose design carries the signature of the founder.
Strongly anchored to the lines of the Venetian glassmaking tradition, Paolo Venini and Fulvio Bianconi reinterpret the ancient fazzoletto with the sophisticated ply glass technique where four very thin layers of Opaline Glass with different colors often in contrast with each other are added together during the blowing process.
The result was a piece with suffused reflections, sinuous shapes, pure and smooth texture, of a disconcerting modernity still loved and sought after all over the world.
In the original Murano glass each piece is unique. The VENINI fazzoletto, totally hand-forged and mouth-blown by Murano glass masters, are traditionally made in two different sizes and in a range of different colors with unique shapes and spirals that make each vase a work of art.
The small imperfections, where present, are an indication of the absolute uniqueness of the product.
