Description
Paestum, for the ancient Poseidonia, was very probably one of the largest cities of Magna Greece. After its foundation it was conquered by the Lucanians and later by the Romans. Paestum is famous in the world for the presence of three magnificent Doric temples dedicated to Poseidon (the god Neptune), Hera and Ceres. Its decline began with the fall of the Roman Empire. The buildings were stripped for the construction of churches and palaces and the ruins were forgotten until the  XVIII century when the travelers of the Grand Tour began to go here again. The Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia has been a UNESCO site since 1998. Tedora dedicates this magnificent miniature in silver to lovers of art and archeology, a must for your bracelet.
