Description
Ponte Vecchio, dating back to 1345, is the most characteristic and romantic place in Florence. Its particular shape, with the presence of small shops is due to the decision taken by the authorities who in 1442 decided to move the “beccai” (butchers) there to avoid the inconvenience caused to the decorum of the city due to the spurious processing of the meat. In the upper part runs the infamous Vasari Corridor built in… to allow the administrators of the Republic to connect Palazzo Vecchio, through the ancient Uffizi, to the private residence of the Medici family of Palazzo Pitti. On that occasion, the shops were destined for the goldsmiths who have still occupied their spaces for generations. It is the only bridge in Florence saved from German bombing during the Second World War. Tedora dedicated this beautiful Charm to you, in love with Florence.
