Description
The sweet sculptural group of the Elephantine, (affectionately known by the Romans as “the Porcino” for its vaguely clumsy line) stands in the intimacy of Piazza della Minerva, close to the Pantheon. It is one of the most curious works by Gian Lorenzo Bernini created by order of Pope Alexander VII following the discovery in the gardens of the church of the Minerva of the small obelisk that overlooks it. The audacity and originality of Bernini’s design came into conflict with the Dominican order by imposing changes. Hence the irreverent position of the elephant who elegantly turns his back to the Dominican convent on the side of the square. Tedora dedicates this beautiful pendant charm to it, an unmissable reminder of the light and beauty of the works of the greatest master of the seventeenth century.
Compatible with Pandora, Vivara and Trollbeads bracelets, the Charms are in pure 925 silver and hand forged by Tedora, a famous Tuscan laboratory specializing in the creation of unique miniatures dedicated to Italian traditions and monuments.
